It sounds like a good deal to me too. Daily pay regardless of mileage. The best part is dumping their trailer at the end of the day and bobtailing to easy parking. No problem getting groceries and supplies either as you are at a Publix everyday.

 

Man, I cannot use super glue without gluing my fingers.....at least my glasses are fixed and I can see now, lol!

 

Huh. So it turns out my very bright non-high-beam headlights on this new Volvo are staying on despite the knob being turned to Off. As if I needed another reason to hate this truck. Anyone else have this issue before?

 

Yeah ive heard that's how alot of them are leaving the dealership,fortunately I'm not having that problem.

Last time I was in the shop they did turn my truck down though,68-71.

 

The headlights are staying on even when the truck is off or is it the daytime running feature?

 

@Barn Door Bill i have an anthem that does the same thing if you use your wipers while the headlight switch is in the off the position, automatically turns them on and will not shut off until the ignition is turned off. Maybe that could be your issue?

 

So very true. Even hubby, who normally watches news and weather 24/7 has stopped watching it. I watch local news just to get the weather. That report was on right before it. And there was a piece on FedEx in Hampton not delivering packages in my area (which I am one of many who didn’t get something kind of important) that I wanted to see. They were trying to blame all of it on the virus, but FedEx in my area has sucked for YEARS. It’s just gotten worse since the beginning of the year. Never could understand why UPS and the USPS can get stuff delivered (in time-even in the midst of this), but FedEx can’t.

 

Now for something else...with all that’s going on, I’m trying to step up my game and get healthy. In just the last year, I’ve had 2 trucker friends have to retire because of major health issues. A real wake up call for sure. Since being local, my workout habit has gone from doing at least 30 minutes of something (walking, weights etc) every day to WTH is a workout. So, if you see me bebopping around the trls in the yard, I’m not crazy. (Well, maybe a little.)

 

It's definitely not the running lamps.

The KW I had previously had a similar feature. This definitely wasn't that either.

Shutting the truck down for awhile straightened it out but now I'm noodling the possible causes. Once a wrench always a wrench.

 

Your area is probably handled by a Fed Ex contractor not an actual FedEx employee who cares about their job. That's how it is around my way.
