I was thinking just the other day that between my four days hometime in March, followed by five days vacation to move from FL to SC, then six weeks of bumping local docks, and now 5 days hometime, I have no clue what’s been happening OTR for over two months... other than several here reporting some of their best weeks in a long time... Hoping I didn’t miss the wave.

I’d say stay home and work on that honey do list... at least long enough that I see Reno a couple times... LOL :D

I know I’ll be volunteering to take a few more days off the truck as needed... (Like extending this 3 day R&R to 5)... for the short term, I’d rather offer a few more voluntary down days than face what you are saying about CT as well as other companies.

although I hear unemployment is paying good.

I’m just trying to see how the Realtor I call my wife will take to me being home longer. Right now she’s pissed I’m still on the couch. Actually, since this Covid-19 issue popped up, she’s been busy as hell, no buyers, but 6 listing that are all under contract while she works out of the house, watching me and the Chocolate Lab sleep.

Lies, I tell ya, all lies. I've been laid off since 3/27 and to date have received $275 from the state. I got the $1200 Cares money everyone else got and 2 additional $600 payments from the feds. Works out to $535 per week so far.

Better than nothing, but not what you big money OTR boys would consider good. I was able to get my mortgage payments suspended so my savings haven't been touched...yet.

My cousin is a realtor in MD (actually lives in FL) and just this past week she has sold 1 house and signed up another 2 contracts. I thought for sure no-one would be spending big money while this is going on, but they are. She used to have a Florida license but gave it up because she said the market is too saturated down here.

The market for realtors is beyond saturated down here. Thank goodness my wife has been at it for 25 years and doesn’t have to chase after business. Those 6 homes under contract range in price from $269K to $550K. They’ll all be closed by the end of June. I’m hoping I get laid off. I’ll never get off the couch.

I don’t know about that. But I can say that there are a crap ton of loads sitting on the RVA yard. Yesterday was creative creative parking day.

My son and DIL are looking at houses now. They were told it’s a good time to buy. I just hope they don’t get in over their heads. They’re looking at a beautiful home. 4 beds/3.5 baths. What do they need all that room for? For me to come live with them. LOL. Yeah, right. I’m stuck where I am until my mother is gone.
