I'm sitting in the bull pen at BH in Brooklyn. I got here at 11am got backed right in the was unloaded and reloaded all in an hour. My reload is going to BH in Petersburg Va for 5am. I pulled away from the dock and went back to the bull pen to finish my 10, which will be up at 9:45 tonight. Another all nighter, the 4th one this week. Tim told me to bobtail to the yard after I drop my trailer in the morning. Then it's homeward bound.

Good for you. Good luck. If you can't find any answers to your questions here, just ask, one of us will have the answer. They aren't perfect over here, but they sure make it enjoyable to work here.

Just woke up. My load home is sitting at the yard. It delivers Monday by the house in Boca Raton. I'll adjust my hometime and come out on Wednesday. I will be home Saturday afternoon. When I get back to the yard tomorrow, that will end my pay period. I figured out my pay, with the miles I ran, the training pay and solo pay, extra stop pay, it comes out to $2950. Still not worth it, but hey, at least I'm able to give something back to a new driver just entering this line of work. I'm not sure if I will continue this training, I just can't imagine going through another winter like I did last year.

Drove all night last night and dropped my trailer at 6am in Petersburg. I was back at the yard at 6:45 and in bed at 7am. I woke up at 1pm, showered and ate then went in to see the shop about this check engine light. I'm now sitting up at the KW dealer waiting for them to bring it in.

For me this job works very well. I've been driving for a long time, this is only my fifth job in 34 years, and I've been very fortunate to have bettered my job each time I've changed. Abilene has the freight, has the miles and has a certain way they run their business, they have some quirks, some issues but in the end they have what I need, great hometime, great miles and a pretty good customer base. We run the northeast quite a bit, we also run to some of the most off the wall places in this country. I'm on my second driver manager, my first one was not one I wanted to stay with. My second one I have because he takes on the trainers, he is, as far as in concerned, the best driver manager I've ever had in 34 years.

I enjoy working here, I enjoy working with the folks I work with, and I enjoy the equipment I'm entrusted with. If you have any specific questions just ask.
