I listened to Willie's Roadhouse all the time when I was out there. One of the thing I miss most about not being out there. I see you are around Norfolk. Wow! I wasn’t even born yet! LOL Born and raised in the little town of Windsor. Been trying to leave ever since I was 18. Being OTR was the closest I’ve been able to come to getting the heck out of there. But, if things keep going like they are with my mothers health, I won’t be here much longer.

Best years of my life were spent there in Norfolk. Best bunch of men that I have ever worked with. We had over 100 drivers in Norfolk and we were one big family. Great company, we were union made good money with great benefits. On any given Friday, we would take 50 buses to the military bases and load nothing but service personnel, week-end leave. Most would go to NYC or Philadelphia.

So Pocomoke to Cape Charles with no traffic lights back then? I’ll bet that was a nice ride.
