I stayed at Area 51 when I went that way. I forgot that the whole name of it is Area 51 Alien Center.

Hawthorne. There’s a truckstop on the 1 mile truck bypass before you get back on 95.

When you come thru Goldfield, on the north side of town on the right is a huge parking area. Nice and quiet.

Finishing up a reset here at the Petro in Ontario. I got my reload assignment on my way down from Oregon yesterday. Drop and hook in San Bernardino in the morning going to Auburn Maine for Saturday. Reset will be up at 3am, the load is ready. I’m taking this load straight through. Going up 15 to 70 to 76 then 80 to 81 and 84. I haven’t seen an Abilene truck since leaving RVA last Sunday. I’m trying to see if it can be another week without seeing another company truck. I love the idea of feeling like I’m the only one out here.

@JohnBoy is the family fairing the storm ok? I’m in interior florida(Ocala) and were not expecting much, hopefully you guys avoid any of the damaging wind and storm surge, if there is any.

I was about to ask if you bumped your head when I saw that routing, until I remembered there’s an I-76 out west. :biggrin_25523:

Thanks for asking. It’s all over with. We got a little rain and a few gusts. It was made out to be a TV ratings war and turned out to be nothing.

14 mile deadhead, 3059 loaded. Based on the miles, it’s got me going up 15-70-76-80-81-84-90-95. I put in for hometime before I got this load assignment. Being the greedy SOB that I am, I’ll do this load, then head home after I get back to RVA.
