Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

Boar's head to Dania Beach, FL. Never been that far south in FL. Hoping to find a spot at flying j in fort pierce day before unless can park at customer. Parking is my big worry thing.

 

595 truck stop has paid parking for $20 per day. That's about the only thing in that area unless you want to chance parking behind a Publix or Walmart. I can also point you to some street parking nearby in Hollywood I see trucks using, but I have no clue if the police would run you off.

There is also the turnpike rest areas in Palm Beach and pompano beach depending on what time you get down there as they fill up fast.

 

You know, I’m all for the team here. But after reading the QC message about the new bonus program for OTR where the local drivers get nothing. Nad, Zero, Zip, No raise in 3 years, Bonus taken away last year, I’m beginning to have the same F-it attitude that all the other local drivers have. So if you see me tucked away somewhere, mind your business. I’m just getting in a little “bonus” time.

 

I’ve always subscribed to the theory that if I put in my notice, the company is too late.

 

That’s WM. They have 2 locals. RVA has about 18. I suppose if all of us collectively did it in RVA, then maybe they’d listen.
