Picked up, HPL, at NFI in Chino, CA

There are 3 NFIs right next to one another. It's not on Mountain Ave, it is on Cypress Ave. There were 20+ Amazon prime trucks blocking the entrance.

We got in line, after realizing this had to be the place we were to pick up from. I started walking up to the front of the line.

Tai was told by a security guard that we don't have to wait in line. She had to force her way into the street to get past the Amazon trucks. Lots of air horns going off. The people inside told me there are regular fights out there between drivers.

 

5 1/2 hrs left to drive today,and they put a 500 mile on me that doesn't deliver till tomorrow night.

I they can't figure out why I'm irked,it's like pulling teeth anymore(end rant).

 

We got a load to Miami, then we deadhead back to Ocala for home time. 2 days to travel 2300 miles and make on time delivery with 8 hrs to spare. We will be early.

I would ask for half of a day of layover.

It's feast or famine. We have 2 days to run 2350 miles with 8 hours to spare. We will be on time.

 

I'm in the opposite boat. My load delivers on Saturday, but whoever gave me the load did not take into account the fact that I will run out of hours on my 70 tomorrow.

I sent 'em a Qualcomm letting 'em know that I couldn't make on-time delivery.

I called the broker and let THEM know that I couldn't make on-time delivery.

I called my DM and let him know that I couldn't make on-time delivery.

That was all yesterday afternoon. Haven't heard anything back from anybody, so I'm just gonna keep trucking, take my 34, and get it there a day or two late.

 

Unloaded in Sulligent AL then got a deadhead move to Forrest City to drop my reefer then DM calls to tell me drop at Byhalia and pickup a Reno load and head west cuz no team available and a swap would be set up. DM calls again says drop in WM yard and got a load going to columbus OH to drop at Walmart then bobtail to boar's head going to Oregon. Never been to sisters. Can you make the curves on US20 with a 53 footer? Assuming so.....

 

Thank you. Atlas has one section marked restricted and looked like have to take 22 to 20 from 5. First stop is in Tualatin so going to sisters from 5.
