I just asked Don about you yesterday. I haven't heard from you in a long while so I was wondering if you were still around.

Dawg was in the yard yesterday? Man!!! Year and a half we only crossed paths once. Talked more on the phone about apps than in person haha.

Depends on how you feel on running. I got a load change 3 times out of orientation. Was first supposed to bobtail down to Publix in FL to retrieve a trailer but then a hot load needed covered. Work at your pace until you get your groove.

Meet your FM? We were supposed to do that? Still haven't, just holler at her through the window. JB and RC get that inside joke lol.

JB, we're still playing tag I see. Ran back from Cali with a load I picked up at the Colton yard. Last Wed I only picked up 3 hours and it was supposed to deliver Fri around Charlotte. Told Load Planner Chris I couldn't make it Fri. He said it was okay to deliver it Mon. Well week before I came out on a Tue and only had a 1,000 miles b/c of picking up that Cali load Thur. If I delivered it yesterday it would have only given me 2,600 last week, plus I didn't feel like sight seeing I felt like running. I told him I would be there Sat but didn't want to babysit it and would make it to W Memphis Fri. He said drop it there. By Thur I had a double preplan. Pick up an empty in W Memphis, do the La Vergne run to Wytheville. Pick up a load in Wytheville the delivers up the road in Harrisonburg Mon morning. That'll work. Was at Wytheville Sun about 1600 and there was a guy dropping a reefer for Gordonsville, so I guess that wasn't yours JB. Ran up towards Harrisonburg and stayed at the rest area until Mon morn.

After my drop Mon I sat for about an hour and then got a deadhead to HP in Chester. I figured when I get there I would look through the basket to see what they had and see if I could grab one. Pick and choose hehe. Nope, load came through on the way there. Bobtail up to the yard to pick up a load going to Lacona, NY (just south of Ft Drum/Watertown) for Tue at 0800. No big deal, lived up there for four years so knew the area. Sent in a No that I couldn't make it on time, earliest ETA would be 1000.

Got out to the yard and did my normal check in and say hi to everyone and ran into Bman. Asked Don H if he still wanted me to run up to NY with the time I could make it. Load wasn't there. A local was live loading at Canon. Told him I definitely wasn't gonna make it before noon. Took me off that and puts me on a tight 3 stopper. Had to bobtail over to Tapahannock to grab it. He figured I had enough time to make it to Gastonia, NC last night and take my 10 to make my 2nd in Thomasville, GA by 1330. Didn't take into account all the lights and hook up time into and the out of Tapahannock. My 1st stop was at 0800 and now I didn't have enough time to make it there. Stopped at the 1st rest area in NC on 85 and stayed there and figured out a split break to make it all work. At the Pilot in Warner Robbins, GA now. My 3rd stop is in Lakeland, FL by 1630 tomorrow. Just 6 hours away. JMH, I think that is John, sent my an attaboy message about making the first two stops on time. Sent back that I appreciated that, so hopefully that means I can get out of FL quicker tomorrow lol

What number did you get? I'll be in Lakeland (Tampa), FL today about 1500. Usually we deadhead back up to Atlanta or SC from there.

Where am I? Oh, here it is. I had to meet the driver that had the load for me going to Havre de Grace up at the service plaza in Beckley WV Sunday afternoon because he ran out of hours. I left there and had a 475 mile drive to my delivery for Monday morning. I got to the receiver at 12:45am Monday morning and had to sleep in their driveway in front of a locked gate. The only parking off the street was there, I have absolutely no problem blocking a gated entrance, my thinking is that in order for them to open up they need to wake me up, and they did, at 5:30am. I finally was done at 11am, just as my clock was done sleeping. My reload came across, I had to deadhead up to Scranton Pa to load going to Dublin Va. I was loaded at 4pm and on my way to Dublin. I got there at midnight and dropped my loaded trailer, hooked an empty, and drove the 15 miles to the Loves at the 84mm and found the last spot in the place.

I woke up at 8am, showered then went back to the truck to find a reload on my Qualcomm. It was a drop and hook at Gatorade going to Indianapolis. Drop and hook at both ends, nice. I went inside to grab a cup of coffee then went back out to the truck for the 9 mile drive to do my drop and hook. But, it all changed. I had a message on my screen to hang tight, they took me off the load and were getting me something else. And I waited, and waited and waited some more. Finally at 12:30 I get a deadhead move back to Richmond. Cool, so I leave, then I get another message to go to Raphine and take my ten hour break there and wait on a load coming out of Richmond that was being brought to me. As I get parked my reload came over with a message, a local driver was bringing me a load that had to be in University Park Il today at 2pm. Right at 3pm he showed up, I gave him my empty, hooked the loaded one and went to bed. At 1:15 this morning I left Raphine and got here at 1:30 this afternoon. I'm now parked at the Petro getting ready for much need rest. These all nighters get a little old for this rookie....lol. It wasn't bad at all, I drove to Beckley for coffee, Nitro for fuel, the rest area on 35 for a 30 minute cat nap waiting on daylight, then nonstop to here.

I have hometime coming up. Hopefully I'll be home on Saturday sometime. I'm getting a new trainee when I get back to Richmond next week. That's going to be another post for tomorrow, right now it's bedtime.
