Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

On a light hearted note,there's signs everywhere here at the terminal,telling you to wash your hands,but there's not a bar of soap insight.

 

It would be funny if it weren’t oh so true!!

 

They keep getting stolen by some of our super-classy fellow drivers.

 

They changed the faucets to dispense bleach instead of water.

 

How do you steal soap inside a dispenser on the wall?

 

I complained to the cashier at the Pilot in Jackson TN the other day because the shower had no hand soap, manager piped up saying people keep stealing the refills out of the plastic dispenser on the wall. I get infuriated with the simple things we encounter on the road daily that are inoperative, in disrepair, etc but then I remember the kinds of people we sadly share this “profession” with....

 

We don't have soap dispensers on the wall. Haven't ever had those in the men's restrooms in the whole time I've worked for Abilene.

They've been putting in pump bottles of soap they're buying at the store. And those are getting occasionally stolen.

 

I laughed today at the signs in the terminal, telling us how to wash our hands. As if we were 5...

Then the irony of no soap. Other companies seem to figure this out. Today was our our last day.

 

Gotcha. In the women’s restroom and by the “kitchen” sink there are metal soap dispensers. Not that there’s ever any soap in them.
