Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

I heard from an Abilene driver today that Allen Jones charges owner operators or lease purchase drivers $600 a week on top of their truck payment to rent a loaner truck while their truck is in the shop. Greedy SOB, he reminds me of a used car salesman.

 

I don’t know. It wouldn’t surprise me though. The lease deal here doesn’t get any interest from me. I’ve heard things over the years, but never delved into it.

In time, the folks from Phoenix will take the whole show over and run it like they do at the Grand Oasis on Buckeye Road in Phoenix. Maybe things will change for the better.

 

Getting unloaded in Auburn,Maine,drove up here from the Richmond yard yesterday morning,and only had to hit the brakes a handful of times.
