Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

Trying to get my truck back from Volvo. Called them myself first thing this morning. Was told all they needed to do was test drive it and they’d be done. That was at 8:30 am. Get up to RVA and it’s still not here. So, I go ask CMelton what’s up. He has no clue. Sends an email to them. I ask why can’t he just pick up the phone and call? Finally, he does and guess what? They still haven’t test driven it AND even when they do, they don’t have anyone to bring it down here. Of course, there’s no one in the shop that can take me up there. Don in safety said he would, but wants to be darn sure it’s good to go before he takes me up there and “it better be before 4 pm”. Just makes me want to clean it out when it does get back up here and go home. I’m so not in a good frame of mind right now with the way things are going. It’s sure a far cry from back in the day when folks actually gave a #### around here. BUT, goodness! If I stay home any longer I’m going to be coo coo for Cocoa Puffs!

 

Parked at Coca cola yesterday,for my 0645am apt this morning.

Get a call at 0345 back into door1,0415 loaded,scaled out and rolling,just in time to beat Tampa rush hour.

Currently parked in Kenly,gonna stop by Walmart before I drop this in the morning.

 

Delivered a hp up in Battlecreek Mi,this morning.

Hp loaded 1 wrong cooler on,after some time,we need you to take that cooler back to Chester,sure easy 700 miles.

 

Love it.

 

Home time over. Bobtailed from Jacksonville home Sunday, will be leaving in the morning to bobtail back to Jacksonville to get that elusive empty dry van.

 

Dropped in New Castle and Gatorade tomorrow for next load. Been on a easy peasy BH/Gatorade loop lately. Wind is nasty today in Indiana though. Hope it dies down some by morning before bobtailing it to Gatorade.

 

It was rotten coming across the turnpike today.

Vacation can't get here quick enough,come on weekend.

 

Been helping with gatorade lately since they are way behind on gatorade loads. Ran out of hours and doing a reset in Wytheville. Prob run gatorade til end of week which I will need to start heading west for my hometime for my annual check up at the VA. Doc will prob tell me I need to lose a little weight as usual due to that stupid chart, lol!

 

If that Doc tells you to lose weight just tell him you got it out in front of you to keep an eye on it!
