Anybody know the best work around that bridge in West Memphis?
-
If you arrange your affairs so that you're hitting it on the weekend before noon or after 5:00pm, it's not so bad. Particularly if you're going westbound.
If you're going eastbound, take exit 271 and get on US-70 and stay on US-70 until right before the bridge.
If you have to go either direction during peak hours, I dunno. The northern route via I-155 adds 50 minutes of extra time according to my GPS, but I haven't actually driven it. There's a southern route that involves US-61 and US-49, but my GPS doesn't like it at all and refuses to calculate a clean route. So I have no idea how much extra time it would add.Finfn1372 Thanks this. -
There is no day so bad that a trip to a Lineage warehouse can't make it worse. Took 'em four hours to complete the paperwork for a pre-loaded trailer. And this ain't even the first time they've taken four hours just to do some paperwork.

If anyplace needs to burn down, it’s the Walmart Produce Center, aka Lineage in Colton.hotrod1653, Lonesome, ExtremeUnction and 1 other person Thank this.

No, that's a full grown Copperhead. Poisonous but not deadly. If bitten, expect pain & swelling. No need to seek medical treatment. I know frim personal experience.
Also, Copperheads live in nests with other Copperheads. Where there's one, there are more. Underneath slightly raised structures is a common habitat.MidWest_MacDaddy, MACK E-6 and JohnBoy Thank this. -
I was thinking maybe a copperhead, but the dark patterns didn't look quite right.

I worked for them before that place was built.
When I worked for IWX in Kingman Arizona it was very common during the Summer and Fall to have a rattlesnake or two on the fuel island.MidWest_MacDaddy and JohnBoy Thank this. -
I’d rather deal with a snake like this then the locals there in West Memphis, at least me and the snake know our boundaries.hotrod1653, MidWest_MacDaddy, Lonesome and 2 others Thank this.
