Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

On my way with Uber to the airport to start the insanity.

Gotta love hill phoenix loads that turn out to be disastrous....4 of us told to show up 0800 here in Minneapolis area at this warehouse. Contractor shows up after 0900 saying nobody told them we were coming and they didn't know we all had full truckloads of the coolers and they had to call for more help. Then they didn't have any tools either to remove the blocks and they don't have enough room for all these coolers. Looks like detention is going to turn into layover. Fortunately they allow parking overnight here.

 

Outside of the fact I was up at 3am, this was a very uneventful day. The house to West Palm Beach airport via Uber (Mrs. Johnboy wanted no part of taking me at 4am) changed planes in Dallas, landed on time at 11:45 local in Ontario. Uber to the dealer. Signed some paperwork. Called in and got my load assignment. 2 p/u’s, Rialto and Compton tomorrow going back to Richmond. Right now I’m at the Petro in Ontario for the night. I hope I’ll make it back to Richmond with no issues.

 

Sounds great! Hopefully everything is still in the truck.

 

It is. In fact, this truck is spotless and everything I left behind is still in the same spots.

Anybody know of a decent place to park near Santa Barbara? Got a delivery there this afternoon, and will have about 30 minutes left on my clock.
