At home till Monday morning,Abilene has been testing my faith this past week.

 

They test everyone’s faith.

 

I did. Solar panels for a space satellite. Replaces "bowling pin resetting machine" as the neatest freight I've ever hauled.

 

I’m jealous… “saltwater taffy” is mine… LOL

 

3:00am local here at the TA in Lebec and the lot is half empty. Always makes me wonder what they know that I don't.

 

It feels more and more lately like working for Knight here.

 

Running up to Richmond in the morning,grabbing a empty reefer off the yard,and taking it up to BH in Groveport.

 

Heading east today with the intention of stopping at the West Memphis Petro for the night. Was about 2 hours away when all of the sudden I was about 5hrs 35min away. Did some quick checking on Google Maps, discovered there was a 3-and-a-half hour backup on I-40. So I parked for a 30 minute break to reset my 8-hour clock.

It's been an hour and 20 minutes since I parked, and there's still a 3-hour back up.

So I'm calling it a day at the Loves in Hazen.

I will run out of HOS on my 70 before I reach the receiver in any case, so this place is as good as any. Just means my day tomorrow will have 9hrs 30min of driving instead of 8 hours of driving.
