If your plans this morning involve driving west on I-40 between Memphis and Little Rock, you may want to hold off a bit.

I've been here long enough to get in a 30.

I did a full 24 hours like that once. I was 7 miles from my delivery.

Tell them you’ve been here to long to go backwards for truck assignments. It works for me.

Wish they would get rid of these older rust bucket trailers. Picked up a load at Lockbourne Quaker and had a hard time sliding tandems. Sprayed the rail, beat it with a hammer then drove in circles to try and loosen it. Got them finally slid after all that, not where I wanted them, but weights were good and even though.

In the 8 1/2 years I have been here, I have never had a brand new truck.

Ended up with the 2 stop St. Louis load. The first stop had directions printed for it. Guess the houses got tired of the trucks parking in the street the night before. Now you have to park around the corner at Quickcrete.
2nd stop had no instructions, but is only 4 miles away. But, looks smallish. Any tips for that one? It’s Rudder Rd.
Then I get to pick up at Volpi. Been there before. Not too terribly bad. It was about 6-7 years ago and the guy there gave me a huge box of cheese, prosciutto and salami. Man, was that awesome!!!!! Fingers crossed it might happen again!

They’re revitalizing the neighborhood, or “Hood” if you will. New sidewalks, curbs and greenery going in. It’s sort of like putting a dress on a pig, at the end it’s still a pig.

The second drop is tight tight tight. They’ll be there waiting for you. Your GPS will get you there. Follow your Google maps as well once you start getting to their building.
