We did this once many many years ago… auto industry just assumed the customer would return to the dealerships with QA issues and let the dealerships catch and fix said QA issues… until Japan showed up and their QA was rock solid and Honda and Toyota became know for their better quality… then QA finally became important once again. When it started to cost companies money.
The pendulum swings back and forth.

Well, based on that, Freightliner missed it entirely. 8 years after I got my first Freightliner here, now this one, I can honestly say they haven’t learned a thing.Lonesome, MidWest_MacDaddy, Flatbedder 1966 and 2 others Thank this.

I read this book years ago and over the years I have gone back and read it several times. I was laying in the hospital in Charlotte NC in 1973 when a friend came by and gave me this book as a gift. One of the best gift, I have ever received. After you read this one, be sure to get this one. The Peter Prescription: How to Make Things Go Right: Laurence J. Well, I was referencing the 60s/70s… that pendulum swings slowly.
Maybe the QC on the Tesla Truck will spur a new focus on Quality… or not. -
I thought of 2 different words......"where's mine?"

6 days off went by too fast.....come out from visiting my mom in WV yesterday and got a hill phoenix to a new dollar tree being built in Ravenna, OH. Of course they tell me show up at 0600 and nobody is here yet....can't believe they are so paranoid of the load not being there on time they tell us to show up super early. Next load out of rue 21 in Weirton, WV going to Dallas, TX.
JohnBoy and MidWest_MacDaddy Thank this. -
They want us there early for the exact reason you said, they’re paranoid about being late. Wait until you see the group they hire to unload you, can we say drunks r us?
Have you done that Rue 21 to Dallas before? -
Just ran the same load. Receiver is one of those warehouses where are you have to back in off the street while traffic is flowing around you in both directions.
Took 'em 2 hrs 30 min to find me a load out of Dallas. Lots of constuction in the area as well, with exits closed all over the place to really complicate your exit strategy.MidWest_MacDaddy, Lonesome, Flatbedder 1966 and 2 others Thank this.
