Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

The issue with no drivers and not able to cover loads falls strictly on the load planner there. I was always told growing up that if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say nothing. So I’ll do what I was told many years ago.

Can’t wait to get the next batch of reefers in, I’m taking bets how long it will take before the 58xxx series fits right in with the rest of the fleet.

 

From what I heard Monday when I was in the yard fighting with everyone about my hometime, they had the revolving door issue going on with DM’s. 2 were let go, 2 quit. Which, for me, speaks volumes, get rid of the dead weight.

 

Yippeee!!!!!!!!! Was just told I now am assigned to my 17th DM. Some dude named Steve. Another entry into my DM record book by pencil.

 

I knew about Don and his new “Title” I have a friend that’s coming onboard in January that wants me to train him in winter driving. I stopped training a year ago but called the appropriate people to make sure it was ok and not to take it that I’m going back to training full time. Got the ok this week, now with the introductory phone call he was under the impression I’m back to training full time. After the cordial conversation, we are all on the same page.
