My jokey comment above about my truck running hot was true, btw. It just wasn't related to Satan. Truck has been running close to 200F on the gauge on flat ground, normally doesn't break 175F. The fan has been kicking on in places it never usually kicks on.
Air compressor also making an unusual noise when I apply the brakes. Might be the reservoir, not sure. I was at the Petro in Kingston Springs, TN. Had a good parking spot, didn't wanna lose it, so dropped the trailer and bobtailed over to fuel up. Once I got back to the trailer and hooked up, air gauges wouldn't fill. Loud clicking noise from the compressor. Turned the key off, let it sit for a minute, turned it back on, and it seemed to work. But every time I'd apply the brakes, I'd hear the same clicking noise.
Finally, I keep getting red "TRANSMISSION FAULT OMG STOP DRIVING OR YOU'LL TEAR UP THE TRUCK" warnings whenever I use my jakes on a steep incline. Which is, y'know, generally the exact situation where you'd want to use your jakes.
All of which has conspired to have me put the truck in the shop for the weekend.
I say "the weekend" as if there's a chance in hell it'll be ready by Monday. Still, hope springs eternal. I have actual hometime scheduled for next weekend, and if the truck isn't ready come Tuesday morning I'm just gonna take the week off. No sense getting into the truck on Wednesday just to be back the next day.

I wish they would do away with the 30 min break thing so just maybe, just maybe ppl will stop parking in the fuel islands. Stopped at the flying j in Winslow, AZ to get fuel this morning and got stuck there for almost 40 min. Driver in front of me sat in his truck for 15 min at least before getting out to start fueling, then he took his flip flops off and washed his feet in the window cleaning bucket then pulled forward and disappeared inside for another 15 minutes. Ended up with a 30 I didn't need so I had to take another 30 min break down the road cuz I needed those extra 45 min. After I drop in Reno tomorrow and do a reset, hoping to get back to WM to see if my deer guard can be replaced since mine keeps falling down after I hit a bump or rough patches of highway, magnets aren't sticking too good. Be do for a PM service too anyway as well.

In a thoroughly astonishing turn of events, my truck was actually ready yesterday. Currently on a hot load for Hill Phoenix heading to Connecticut. It's already late, and there's a chance I might run out of hours before I get to the receiver if traffic in NYC and Connecticut is too bad.

It is snowing in Reno! LoL!

Between Livingston Montana and Bozeman Montana on I-90 is a 26 mile stretch. On that stretch is Bozeman Pass.
Here’s a picture from a short while ago. Nice late fall view. Chain law is up as well.
Please, check you chains and make sure you are prepared for winter driving out west. If you aren’t prepared, or might question your ability to handle and deal with this, please stay south of I-40.Lonesome, Flatbedder 1966, jarhead0311 and 1 other person Thank this. -
