Welp, been here 6 hours and counting, waiting for the truck to show up. They've called a couple of times. First time was to let me know that they weren't getting any reply from Breakdown about what tires Breakdown authorized them to use since they didn't have the first choice. Second time was to let me know that they were lost and didn't know where I was at.

Good thing I didn't have anything important to do today, like drive back to Fort Worth to pick up my next load.

I remember when some fuel stops would ask you what date you wanted on your fuel receipts.

Still here. Dude had trouble getting a tire on one of the rims. And by "trouble" I mean it took him over an hour just to get it to catch on the bead.

And then he got the jack stuck under the trailer and couldn't get it out. Had to get a 2nd jack to lift the trailer up far enough to retrieve the first jack.

Really wish we could charge Love's detention. 9 hours to get 2 tires changed is ridiculous. He hasn't even patched the tire that was flat when I hooked the trailer, but it's got air in it now so I told him don't worry about it, I'll get it fixed down the road. Would be here another 4 hours just to do that.

Some of the Loves technicians resemble some of our drivers.

I kinda figured that being they are so laid back even after I showed up after 0730 a couple times due to traffic or weather events. But somebody always calls me and acts like it is the end of the world if Im not there at 0700, lol!

JoeyJunk, Lonesome and Finfn1372 Thank this.

You have way more patience than myself. I would've drug it to the shop with only one flat and an empty trailer.

One day one of our now retired drivers had his “local” run turn into a layover.

He had brake chamber fail and the one sent out to replace it somehow took 12 hours to do it. :biggrin_2552:
