Decent food at Lisa's at least, and quiet.

And I wonder how many service failures were still had after this message. Can you imagine having to remind grown adults not to oversleep? Trucking has come a long way over the last 44 years.

I'm trying to imagine a truck driver in 2022 still relying on an alarm clock that requires manual adjustment for a time change.

My phone (which is also my alarm clock), my laptop, my GPS, and Edna all made the switch automatically without me having to do a thing. Only clock I had to change manually was the dashboard clock.

I do recall one time waking up and being confused that my 10-hour reset still had an hour to go despite the fact that I'd stopped at 8:00pm and my alarm was set for 6:00am. But that was during my first year of driving and it hasn't happened since.

It falls on deaf ears. I now travel with my own when visiting other bathrooms.

Here at a landfill in Phoenix, picking up a load to drop on the Colton yard. Would've preferred something heading back east, but this'll do.

Biggest headache with being in California is that I don't bother adjusting my clock, since I'm never out here long enough to make the adjustment worthwhile. So I'm wide awake and ready to roll at 3:00am local time, when nobody is open and nothing is being loaded or unloaded. Maybe I'll get lucky and there will be a dropped trailer on the Colton yard that needs to be hauled across the country and I won't have to wait until noon Richmond time to get a load.

I'd make the call myself, except that I have no clue who I'd actually need to tell. Telling AKJ seems like overkill.

I still have one beside my bed that you have to wind up each day, not that I need it. I cannot remember the last time an alarm clock had to wake me up, if I got a job to do, I get my "rear" out of bed without an alarm telling me to get up. o_Oo_Oo_Oo_Oo_O
