I was 5-0 on leapers in my career. Pretty proud of that.

My last one I encountered about 3 years ago was in Albuquerque also. If I lived in that town, I’d want to jump off a bridge as well.

Here in Myrtle Beach with a Hill-Phoenix delivery to a Publix under construction. I am the very tail end of a 9-truck line. Got here at 6:40am for a 7:00am appointment. It's now closing in on 8:00am and there has been no movement whatsoever. I just strolled a few blocks over to grab some crabcake benedict from a nearby eatery. Gone about 30 minutes. Figured the line would've advanced in my absence. But nope.

As an aside, as I looked on Google Maps to find a nearby breakfast place, I looked around the area, and holy crap I have never seen so many golf courses packed into one place in my life. There's gotta be at least 30 of 'em around here.

Still here. Finally been some movement, though. Four of the trucks ahead of me have been unloaded.

Looks like I'll be getting at least 2 hours detention for this one.

Columbia, MO had a guy on an overpass on I-70.....interstate shutdown, the whole 9 yards. He finally meandered close enough to the right-of-way, they Tased him, he fell and later won a $400k settlement against the city for a back injury. Lead would've been cheaper.

I could suggest "lead" for several situations that the government wastes millions of dollars on, when a bullet that cost a dollar or two could quickly bring a quick resolve to the problem.

Another month, another 3 ring circus to get me home for hometime that was put in the system 10 days ago. It worked out, but Jesus, why do I have to go through this every month? I live in So Fl, not northern Montana.

On another topic, not a gripe about Abilene, but has anyone else readjusted their 401K contribution? I have 20% taken out every week. Last night while taking my 10, I stopped it completely. I have lost 10% of my total since the first of the year. When I got a phone call from HR about my decision, it sounded as if I committed a crime. I politely told her that between my 401K and my IRA’s, I’ve lost about 2 years worth of retirement. I also told her that I’ll adjust my thinking the first of the year.

All my contributions to my Roth, for about a year and a half now, are staying in cash.Lots of volatility out there, IMHO
