Good to know. I was not looking forward to starting my driving day at 11:15am. I really like to hit the road at 6:00am every day if I can. 11:15am is just five hours of me burning daylight for no good reason.

Dropped my load at the Richmond yard yesterday at 1600. I was going back and forth with dispatch all day on my way up about a reload. I was offered a bunch of loads. None of them would have had me back home next Friday. I start my 3 weeks of medical leave next Saturday.

I was finally given a 4 stopper that had 3 drops in and around Atlanta and finals in Corpus Christi. I had 3.5 hours left to drive when I got to the yard. Hooked the loaded trailer at the loading dock and drove out my clock. Woke up at 0500 this morning and left at 0530. Got my 3 drops off by 2pm in Atlanta, then drove to this Loves just south of Montgomery. I’m 825 miles to my final and should be there by 0800 Friday. Already have a reload to pick up in Laredo going back to Richmond. Will be back Monday, then head to the house for my scheduled outpatient procedure.

Finally got an empty yesterday but too late to load. Picked up the load of hay this morning in Golconda going to Hesperia, Ca to a place across the road from the pilot there. Truck needs washed now due the dirt roads to get to the farm place.

Can't believe I'll actually be at the terminal for a luncheon tommorrow.

Always said those were for the office folks.Dropping near Richmond in the morning, than hitting the shop, than hopefully home for the weekend.

I’ve just watched a video where a guy is commenting about the new technology being tested for future installation in cars and semi trucks.
This new technology is called “Speed limiter” and according to his explanation…The speed limiter technology will control the cars and semi trucks speed according to road signs”

In other words if the speed sign reads 60 the truck will do 60… if the next sign says 30 the truck will do 30… ect, ect.

Note: My personal opinion… I’m looking forward to retirement! I’m really tired of all this technology and companies buying into this. With all the things we go through driving a truck … now the robot in your dashboard will control your speed!

That should be just great on the 70 mph Interstate when it picks up the 30 mph sign on the frontage road.
