Got a Groveport load that, thanks to a rare mix-up at Jarratt, was not ready last night at 11:00pm. They didn't start loading it until after I got there this morning at 6:40am, and it wasn't ready until 10:45am. Which pushed it out of range for delivery today.

Will be dropping it in the AM tomorrow, and will be picking up a load to Fort Myers, due Friday morning.

Anybody going to Boars Head Groveport be advised that the normal routes to BH are closed. London-Groveport Rd between US23 and BH is closed. Alum Creek Dr between 270 and BH is closed. It has added an hour to my drive.

    Finfn1372 and Lonesome Thank this.

Update: Alum Creek Dr. appears to be open now. London-Groveport Rd. still closed.

Apparently there were two accidents last night involving trucks. I'm not sure which accident happened on which road, but in one of 'em, an 18-wheeler ran into a traffic light pole, and in the other, a dump truck rolled over.

Got moving at 0130 this morning since I couldn’t sleep last night. Get across the bridge into Memphis and run into a drunk female driver…..kept swerving onto the shoulder then over into the middle lane and back over again. Had to go far left to pass her safely, lol!

Did my drug test this morning. Was taken off no dispatch and was given a deadhead move to the Savannah rat hole. Just trying to get my arse in gear and leave the house. Let the insanity begin.

Delivering my BH here in Fort Myers. Soon as they're done, I have instructions to deadhead to the Port of Tampa to drop this empty reefer and pick up an empty dry van.

There is a note that came with the load assignment instructing me that the trailer must be WASHED OUT AND ODOR FREE before dropping it at this shipper. This is the place that got two empty trailers a few years ago that had been used to haul garbage to a landfill. The trailers stank so bad, the lumpers refused to load them.

Amusing that we still have the washout instructions attached to the location, because I don't think we've hauled garbage in a while.

Getting unloaded in Wheeling at Swisher then deadhead to Lockbourne for a load to Wytheville. Made the mistake of thinking I was supposed to be at the easy docks here looking at Sat photos. Common sense would say put the 53 footers in the big easy docks not the small docks for box trucks being Im blocking 3/4 of the street out front….
