Jeez, today I can’t find nothing to complain about. In fact, they actually have me scratching my head in amazement. Let me start off by saying that it’s apparent operations has completed the DM/Driver course on social communication and friendship. I’ve had 3 early morning phone calls the past 5 days asking me where I want to go next when I get empty. Because I’m working on recaps, 2 days in a row with crappy hours and hometime in for next Wednesday, I’ve been give a choice of loads since last Thursday. So, knowing where I’m delivering makes it easy to get my next load lined up based on my hours. In fact, I deliver at 5am in Washington Courthouse Ohio, then run up to Columbus for a drop and hook to the Richmond yard, then planned on one that delivers Monday by the house. I’ll be home 2 days earlier than I’m scheduled, but that’s cool. I have a follow up Dr’s appointment to make sure everything healed right. So I’ll be home for 9 days.

My only thought is they’ve heard I’m disgusted with a couple things, and I’m considering on leaving. Something took place 2 weeks ago that really showed me how they treat long term tenured drivers. Something that has insulted me tremendously. Actually, what happened has me convinced it’s personal. But, that’s for another day. Today is a good day with Knight/Abilene.

Pitched up at the Loves in Circleville. Feel like 10 miles of bad road. Sickest I've been in four years. Got 'em to give me a slow load going back to Richmond. Doesn't deliver until Thursday in the evening in Disputanta, so I am taking my time getting it back to Richmond.

I’d rather drive across Wyoming in January then be sick like you are on the road. Feel better my friend.

I started to get the funk on my way home for home time. Just like you, I hadn't had a cold for four or five years. The day after I got home I went to my PvP got a strep test and covid test and both came back negative. Got Tamiflu and antibiotic to beat this sinus infection. Was in bed for a week. Back on the road and feeling better. Shaking off the remnants of this Shiznet.

JoeyJunk, Finfn1372 and dwells40 Thank this.

Drove through Wytheville today. Looks like someone is getting a bigger yard.

Dropped my loaded trailer at the customer yesterday morning. Had to go to the yard to get my fuel filters changed. While there, I get a phone call from dispatch to go see safety. Go down and had to do a random drug and breathalyzer test. Passed with flying colors then went in to see dispatch. What happened next is beyond astonishing. I have hometime scheduled for next Wednesday the 19th. I sat with my DM and outbound dispatch and set up my next 3 loads that will get me home noon Monday.

Bring an empty to Front Royal and drop and hook for Sysco in Cleveland for 8am this morning. Done in Cleveland at 0845.

Dead head to Toledo for a drop and hook going to the West Memphis yard. Got the load but the trailer is out of inspection so I’m in the Petro shop getting that done right now.

Tomorrow when I drop this load at WM, I then have to go to Byhalia for a drop and hook going to Jacksonville Fl. I’ll drop that Sunday evening, take my 10 right there, then be home about noon on Monday.

I’ll then go with my wife and pick my mom up at the oncologist when she’s done with her second round of Chemo. It’ll be a nice surprise for her to see her oldest son show up and take her home.
