Unless you have plenty of money or a "hobby" to keep you busy, retirement is for "the birds". Find yourself a nice little part time deal that you can work a few days a week. I have tried several jobs since I "retired" back in '96. I hauled milk in tankers for around 13 years and finally I got tired of making around 30cpm and driving "junk", sitting at dairies for hours trying to unload, now I am hauling the mail a couple of nights per week with a super company, making what I consider is good pay, with top equipment.

I am with you, Grouch! Hope I can work into my 80s even driving truck. Started at 52, now 61. I still back like a rookie, but I don't hit anything.

Hey Fnfan. Come to FCC and stop putting up with the crap. Ask McDaddy. He'll tell you! Only been to the northeast once in four years. You're in our hiring zone. You're only one hour away from where I live.

No way in hades that I want to be driving a truck into my 80s. I’m trying to not even be driving into my 60s! I just need to win that lottery!

I've been offered a part time job at the Enterprise Rental Office in town. Its where I get my rentals for work. Part time moving cars around. Something to do. I've been driving for 17 years and this was my original job after retiring on 05/05/05.
