Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

The good lord giveth, and the good lord taketh away.

After my busy pre-Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving runs, all the loads they got that are convenient to New Castle are BH loads that don't deliver until Monday. And they're all less than one driving day away. 80+ hours to make an 8-10 hour drive.

So I picked the one that delivers to Midlothian so I can drop it on the yard tomorrow and hopefully get something else. The yard can babysit that Midlothian load until Monday morning.

 

That 5 days off went too fast. Got a hill phoenix to west of cleveland for tomorrow morning. I called the phone number on the paperwork to see if they want me to park in front or the back of the building, left a message and somebody called back and asked what I had and said they weren’t ready for these 7 cases. Of course Harvey gets upset snd doesn’t know why I called them and get told to go anyway. This oughta be interesting. Supposed to get called back by the customer.

 

Well, customer texted me back and confirmed they are ready but different address than I was given though. At least I won’t be getting lost, lol!

 

Hit the Wytheville yard today,and they tried putting me on a Pa load delivery tommorrow night,no thanks.Heading to Richmond with a gatorade drop.

 

Yeah, I’m not driving through that with 8k of Walmart jeans in the box. Guess they’ll just have to reschedule.

 

Just have them reset the the drop window if it’s a drop..they can easily do it on the portal for Walmart..
