Hey I get it. My chick has a little buddy Harlow, and I laughed when she asked what we were putting in Harlows stocking this year. Turns out, she wasn’t joking.

I used to not care what manufacture I drove until auto-shifts became the norm. Now I hate anything but Volvo being the I-Shift is so smooth and not jerky.

Up, showered, coffee in hand and ready for my busy day. Getting ready to leave the Loves in Lake Havasua and drive down to my first drop in Palm Springs, then Chino for drop 2. Should be up in Santa Nella the end of my day for my 10. Then up to Ukiah for drop 3 tomorrow. Safe travels all!

Delivered a load to a warehouse west of Atlanta, just a few miles away from the Knight yard. Was instructed to drive to the Knight yard, drop the empty Abilene trailer I was pulling, hook up an empty Knight trailer, and take it to McDonough for a drop-and-hook back to Richmond.
Turns out, Knight isn't any better at keeping track of their empties than Abilene is. I walked the lot, checked all the dry vans that weren't hooked up to a tractor, and the only empty I found had a red tag on it. But my DM would not take my word for it that there were no empty dry vans on this tiny lot. She had a list of trailer numbers given to her by Knight dispatch, and they needed to be checked. The disposition of the seven allegedly empty trailers was confirmed (3 already hooked by other drivers, 2 loaded, 2 not on the lot), and now they are finding out if I need to conduct a wild trailer chase all around the Atlanta metro area during rush hour, or if I can just bobtail to the shipper.
I am hoping for the latter. Mind you, if it *is* the latter, that will also be annoying because I could've bobtailed out of here an hour ago.MidWest_MacDaddy, Bumper, IH9300SBA and 3 others Thank this. -
I’m thinking they may need to resort back to the way it was in the old days, a note pad. It’s apparent the technology we use isn’t working.

Many folks can’t think on their own without a computer telling them what and how anymore..
