Sitting here at Americold Atlanta. Preloaded trailer was supposed to be ready by 2:00am, but their computer system went down and they just got it back online. Truck is being put in the dock to be loaded. Given that this is Americold, I expect it'll be ready by 3:00pm.

I laughed when they tried to offer me to move into either a 19 or 20 this morning. No 23’s ready apparently. They did give some new green horn a 22 though which makes no sense being Ive got almost 19 yrs experience and here 4 yrs. What happened to putting green horns in older trucks first? Oh, well. Doing a 34 and waiting for something new to come available.

A lot of these training companies do that and give the new trucks to the inexperienced to tear up while they give the experience drivers beat down crap that’s on its last days

Got a two-stop Hill-Phoenix load going to Ogden, UT and Boise, ID. Will be my first excursion across Wyoming during wintertime. What are the good websites for staying on top of the highway conditions and closures?

Wyoming Department of Transportation Travel Information Service

On the sidebar, find were its says route, tap the link, then at the top punch in your route (I-80) then scroll down. It’s very detailed, up to date and extremely helpful. It’s my go to app every trip across Wyoming. One bit of advice, go across Elk Mountain during daylight. That stretch will start at the 310mm to the 235mm. Let me know if you need any insight, I’m now on my 42nd winter across that godforsaken state.
