I40 in OK is an icy mess this morning. Lots of trucks rolled over or in the median. Common sense isn’t common anymore, trying to drive 70 plus on ice isn’t very smart….hoping to stay ahead of the sleet and ice storm in AR and be on the yard before too bad.

 

Up in Mt.Veron,IL taking a reset,dropping a trailer on the yard in the morning,no rush.

 

Made it to the yard just as the ice and sleet started coming down. Told my DM Id wait to see what roads are like tomorrow before assigning me a load. Passed a lot of truck wrecks today across I40, two hit guard rails so hard the cabs were sheared off the frame.

 

It is mess down here on I40 in West Memphis area. Decided to just take the day off. Went to Walmart and it was closed. Everything totally covered in ice.

Don’t know why they closed the WM yard down today, I made it out on the ice just fine bobtail with the divider switch on for all wheel drive going real slow. Ppl prob driving too fast and stomping the accelerator and brakes.

 

Probably? You know they were, lol.

 

Finally got outta WM today with a new castle load. They are even paying me a day layover for getting stuck there yesterday.
