That was probably for the benefit of Knight's breakdown service, who need all the help they can get.

 

Here on the yard, awaiting the windshield guys. Got a chip a few days ago. Not sure if it's the "repairable" kind or the "gotta replace the whole thing" kind. Will find out shortly.

 

Another week by the Richmond yard,another weekend with no freight bummer.

 

Windshield guys won't be here until 3:00pm at the earliest. Grabbed a load for tomorrow, delivering tomorrow night in Somerset, NJ at 10:00pm.

The thought of trying to find truck parking in NJ after 10:00pm does not fill me with girlish delight, but miracles have been known to happen.

 

I do not miss going into New Jersey.

 

Depends on where in NJ you are going to. I'm born and raised and lived there until about 1984 and I worked there driving a truck from 1969. South NJ was a whole lot better than north of Trenton any day. I'm glad I moved to Florida but that is becoming a nightmare and too crowded.

 

South Jersey....just across the border from Philly.

 

Just got the windshield fixed. That was pretty interesting. Never seen that before. I thought they just polished the chip out with some finely graded sandpaper or something, but they apparently fill it with some kinda resin. Learn something new every day.

Also got pre-planned for not only the load after I deliver in NJ, but the load after that as well. Pick up in Inwood, WV, bring back to the yard, then pick up a load that delivers Tuesday morning in New Bedford, MA.

 

Dropped my Reno this morning an waited 3 hrs for a reload. Had to sweep out the trailer and send a pic to my DM so they could send it to a broker for a load but broker never answered back so got a swift load of plastic pallets going to roanoke, va but they are prob going to have me drop in WM, truck is due for a pm service. Had to wait for a swift trailer to be pulled before backing into the same dock. One of those places where they load a bit then disappear for a bit then come back then disappear again, etc. Gave me the wrong address to start too. 14 clock be shot by the time I get outta here. Ill just park it after loaded then haul arse next three days.
