    Well, US95 is closed between Hawethorne and Schurz due to some boulders falling onto the road. No signs warning you until you get to Schurz….stuck waiting on the side of the road. They been working on it since last night, must be some really big boulders.

    Explosives would get the job done faster than heavy equipment chipping them down. Then again shockwaves might cause more rocks to fall though.

    I have the worst luck with pre-plans.

    The load to New Jersey was due to be loaded yesterday and picked up last night by a local driver and brought to the yard.

    Load was not ready last night when the local driver went by, so it was not brought to the yard.

    Load is ready now, but the shipper isn't open on Saturdays. Which will make it tricky to deliver tonight for whoever ends up with it.

    Currently waiting to see what they give me instead, and whether or not it'll work with the other pre-planned loads.

    Got sent up to Santa Fe Springs for a drop and hook going to South Haven MS. Will be dropping it in the West Memphis yard noon tomorrow. Have a Volvo Jacksonville waiting on me. Will drop that Monday evening then go home for a few weeks. Mom is having her surgery on Friday. My wife and I are the caregivers and mom is living with us now. My brother flew in from Oregon. This is a 6 hour surgery. The way she handled the 6 months of chemo and the way the tumor shrunk, everything her Dr’s see shows remission and more years to add to her 88 years. Seeing what she’s endured these last 6 months has put everything in perspective, including this job.

    State troopers driving by all morning plus some county cops and nobody bothered me. Local cop stops and asks why Im parked on the side of the road, Im parked cuz the road is closed. Was a total dick ####### cuz I was blocking the road a little. Had to move. Had no idea there was an abandoned truck stop wide open dirt lot, otherwise Id have went there to begin with. Hate local podunk cops with an attitude when Ive done nothing wrong and spoke nicely and literally didn’t know this lot was open. I just pulled over like everyone else. In my opinion that guy don’t need a badge based on his attitude.

    That is a good point, I have a younger brother that is a local cop in Pa that has to work three part time jobs to make it. We all told him to go state because of the better pay and benefits but he didn’t want to leave home area being PSP requires one to stay where they put you for at least two yrs before you can transfer.
