Decided to go back to the truckstop after 14 counted down so I have a bathroom. If they don’t have US95 cleared tomorrow when I get up Ill take a detour route I totally forgot about til now. Run US50 to NV361 which will come out in Luning. Been that way before when I loaded a brokered load at a mining facility in Gabbs.

 

Only load they had for me after my NJ load fell through was a short hop to Smyrna, DE. Turns out they have a nice rest area in Smyrna with plenty of truck parking, so I'm only 6 minutes away from the receiver. Load delivers at 6:30am tomorrow morning, then a deadhead back to Richmond where my New Bedford, MA pre-plan still awaits.

 

Rockslide cleaned up and US95 is open again, thankfully.

 

Delivering to a tiny little two-block industrial section in New Bedford, MA, surrounded on all sides by tight little residential streets. Approaching the delivery address, I see this little dock sticking out of the building, onto the sidewalk:



I think to myself "I sure hope that's not the dock I need to be in, since I am facing the completely wrong direction."

Turns out, that's the dock I needed to be in.

 

And of course there is someone parked right next to it.....these are the things I dont miss...

 

well, ya know ,.....if that F150 wasn't parked there......
