Yes. You run empty half of the time, people are happy to see you, trailers are only 43’ long and not affected much by high winds. As I’ve said before, my only regret is not doing it sooner.

 

May be time to get that hazmat cert I didn't get 7 years ago. Passed the test, but didn't spring for the $81 background check because I knew Abilene didn't haul hazmat.

Already got the tanker endorsement.

Oh darn we leave on April 30 for 6 months to Pensacola, Fl, Alabama and Tennessee with the 5th wheel. Oh well I keep up on this site on will follow your progress.

Yes, get your Hazmat. It opens up a lot more work when doing tanks. I haul hazardous waste now. My main responsibility is to drive. The plant workers load and offload the trailers.

 

This industry is getting to be like a bunch of homeless cats fighting over scraps of food…..dropped my Reno then got a hay load from the place in Golconda to Hesperia and next is HP to Hazleton, Pa. It is amazing how the office folks running stuff make dumb decisions and when stuff goes south because of said decisions the first ppl to get hurt or get stuff taken are the drivers.
