That was the first thing he did when he retired, obtained his real estate license, he had dreams of selling land in central TN but it’s hard to break in to that market at 65, a heck of an accomplishment none the less to set his mind to something and achieve it.

    dwells40 and JohnBoy Thank this.

For sure. My wife has been selling real estate in south Florida for 24 years. I’ll just latch onto her coat tails.

I hope I get to make it to where you are. I'm tryna do everything I can to get out the truck. I'm hoping the market crashes so I can buy more property

No it's milage pay, with 12 cents more added running up north.

Something you have to factor in right now,is Abilene is trying to find there legs.

We do get detention, $20/hr after the first two hours. Detention is between you and Abilene, no matter what the brokers try to tell you. Abilene may not get their detention from the broker, but I'll still get it from Abilene.

Layover and breakdown are $150/day. Caveat: If you breakdown near a terminal, they'll offer you a loaner. If you turn it down, you don't get breakdown. Moral of this story: Break down somewhere well away from the terminals.
