Delivered my Wheeling load yesterday morning,as usual in and out in a jiffy.
Sent a deadhead move down to Wytheville,on the way down sent a load picking up near Wytheville going to Garysburg,Nc for 0630,contacted dispatch don't know if I can make that, get to shipper in and out in 30.
Got to receiver ontime, now getting unloaded, have hometime for the weekend, hours are short, let's see what happens.jarhead0311 and JohnBoy Thank this. -
No empty dry vans on colton yard so get sent to jarupa valley walmart and the one empty has a bolt missing where the DOT bumper attaches to the trailer….wonder how long that has been missing….law suit potential if rear ended and the car goes under cuz the bumper failed….

Delivered swimming pool chemicals to a place in West Nyack, NY. Currently waiting for them to figure out where to send me next. Already been an hour. Shouldn't be that hard to send me to Port Reading, NJ to pick up a Medline shipment.

Scheduled for hometime Saturday, delivered, this morning in Nc,twiddled thumbs, nothing going on sent me home.
Supposedly freight getting better in Richmond, haven't been around to find out.jarhead0311 Thanks this. -
Reloaded in Perris, Ca again today going to Best Buy DC in Dublin, Ga for Monday. Miles looking good again. Got a phone call from the new Terminal Manager in WM, nice guy but will see how long he lasts.

Picking up a pre-loaded trailer at a new shipper I haven't been to before. Geodis warehouse in Winchester. There were 12 trucks ahead of me in the line when I got here. It has taken two hours and change to get those 12 trucks processed and into the gate. Absolute effin' clownshow.

Once I finally got to the gate, I discovered they require a freakin' thumbprint to pick up freight. I initially told 'em to go eff themselves, but self-control eventually got the better of me. Won't ever go back, though. A trailer full of Red Bull doesn't need a godd.... thumbprint to pick up. It ain't that important.
Just got back to the yard. I'm out of hours and the load is due at the receiver a few miles away at 8:00am. My reset won't be up by then, though, so they're going to have to find a local guy to drive it.
And thus ends my 21-hour day.Lonesome Thanks this. -
