Good week running between Richmond and Ohio all week. These non-english speaking drivers put my anxiety through the roof….dropped at Walmart in Grove City, OH this morning then sent to Cleveland to reload. Get to the shipper and a non-english speaking driver pulls next to me on the narrow street in front of the shipper and proceeds to try to back in the docks and almost smashes the front of my truck cuz he wouldn’t stop even after me laying on the air horn, just kept going. Had to hurry up drop my phone while talking to the shipping office to check in while trying to get out of the way before I had no front end. Dude didn’t speak a lick of english at all and understood nothing, lady in shipping said she had a hard time with him. Sorry for complaining but I’m so frustrated and didn’t want to have to be towed…..

How do they ever get a cdl? If we moved to their country and wanted to drive we’d be screwed!

Extreme Unction, so sorry for the loss of your mother. I lost mine back in March. She was 88 and I knew she was getting it five years ago When she couldn't remember who I was. Peace to you my brother. The good news is, you still have YOUR memories and it doesn't get harder from here.

What ever happened to the requirements of being able to read and understand the English language and our road signs? How are these drivers able to even get and keep a CDL-A? We need better enforcement for the rules to get and keep their license.

A few years ago the FMCSA basically got rid of that requirement.

From the amount of trucks that ‘ignore’ the ‘trucks use left lane’ signs in multiple construction zones I go through regularly , we have a fairly high illiteracy rate here in the USA… regardless of ‘country of orgin’
