My first trip to Miami, I spent the night here:
Google Maps
On the shoulder, directly across the street from the Superior Auto Glass. I went there because Trucker's Path assured me there was a truck stop there. There wasn't.
Pretty sure Superior Auto Glass is a front for the Cuban Mafia.
If you're really desperate, though...

I’ve lived in South Florida for 43 years, there isn’t a place I’d spend the night in any part of that rathole. My first trip there with Abilene 10 years ago, I drove the 63 miles home in violation. I remember the phone conversation with Scott who was the one of many safety managers, “I will not stay in any part of Miami-Dade county for you, Abilene, DOT or the good lord himself.” Going forward, if that’s an issue, let me know and I’ll bring you your truck back. I’m still here.Finfn1372, 48Packard, jarhead0311 and 4 others Thank this.

When down there in FLA, all else failed, a weigh station was good for overnite, but not to do a 34. Definitely, the accomodations are better off I 75 than I 95. Good luck Jarhead!

Indeed, the weigh stations in FL are good to stay at for a 10. I frequently stay at the Palm Coast one on my way to Orlando. Heck, I’d rather stay at a weigh station than a truck stop most of the time anyway. 99% of the time, they don’t mess with you. I think the only time I have seen them do so was in GA on I-16. My company has an outstanding CSA, so we don’t get messed with too much (and we don’t have prepass, so we have to go in every open one).Finfn1372, jarhead0311 and gntorres61 Thank this.

There is mile marker 191 on 95 for the Viera Walmart. They have overnight parking, but you cannot stay more than 10 hours even though people park there that take home time in Melbourne Florida.

Made it to Miami and the unloader got confused with the huge stack of BOLs, you would think Volvo would include one or two master BOLs with the like hundred individual LTL bills…..getting unloaded but who knows how long it will take. Need to get new wiper blades being my driver side keeps coming off, think the plastic piece is warped. Twice I had to stop to fix it before I decided to try and switch with the passenger side to see if that one will hold on the driver side.

Fortunately got unloaded pretty quickly and got lucky and found a spot at the Loves in Ft Pierce for a 34. Unloader even signed all 100 sum pages of BOLs too, lol! Guess gotta scan em all in.

That's one of those moments where you really hope the transflo doesn't jam on sheet 47.motocross25, jarhead0311, Lonesome and 1 other person Thank this.

Been sitting here at the Petro in Carlisle since yesterday. My efforts to get a load have been fruitless...right up until almost 24 hours after my last load finished, when Edna beeped at me.
It's the place that requires a thumb print to pick up a load.

Good. This right here is a Johnboy response through and through. Last time I got fingerprinted was when I got my CCW permit 10 years ago. Some cheap freight to put in a dry van doesn’t even come close.dwells40, jarhead0311, carhaulerjeff and 3 others Thank this.
