A big shoutout to the 2 Abilene trucks that passed me while I was sitting on the shoulder yesterday afternoon on 77 north just north of Statesville NC, with my 4 ways on and my triangles out. Though it was just a blown trailer tire, your concern about a fellow company hand gave me that warm and fuzzy feeling. The funny part, neither one of you aholes moved over. Oh, through a phone call to a buddy of mine in the office, I found out who you both are and your truck numbers. Unlike today’s brain dead youth holding the steering wheels of these trucks, some of us would at least give a shout out on the CB like a few others did. Thanks again!

Yup. Nothing like it used to be. When I first started, I was broke down eastbound on the PA turnpike in Somerset. Had a L/O pull off to make sure I was ok. The guy drove that black/white Volvo. He even followed me to the Volvo shop there in Somerset to make sure I got there okay.

As I have stated over and over, out there "competition" has replaced "cooperation"! The mentality of the 4wheelers has infected the brains of truck drivers today.

But! Do not put all the blame on the drivers, companies are at fault also. During pre-employment screening one important item is never touched upon, "attitude towards your fellow worker". It seems like companies encourage "competition". Ever hear this from management, "so and so can do it"or "so and so did it, why can't you"?? Nothing pisses me off more than to be compared to another person, when God made me, He made an individual, a very unique individual.

I have a question for my fellow drivers. Why would a grown man take his shoes/flip flops off in the men’s room at the sink then proceed to wash said feet? All I wanted to do at the Loves in Greenville Virginia was wash up and brush my teeth, not look at some nasty feet in the sink next to me at 4:30 this morning.

It may be their culture, but it sure doesn’t fit in here….If they put on a pair of proper footwear their feet wouldn’t get so dirty. It’s disgusting…
Burn a shower credit and brush your teeth in peace and quiet… leave the barbarians to the public rest room if at all possible. I miss wearing a mask when I go in there….:)

I saw a video of the very same thing on "You Tube" the other night. I could not believe it.
