You can work and be 100 percent. I know people that are working and 100 percent. Veterans can still work. If you go to college it will be paid for so I would check it out if I was you.

I did use my GI Bill in combination with vocational rehabilitation program through VA to get a BS in Applied Physics and a BS in Geophysics with a minor in math while still working nights driving water truck in the oil and gas industry to keep up my CDL skills. The two overlapped each other class wise. Life circumstances brought me back out here to help provide for my fiancé’s medical needs for now.

That's cool. I just wanted you to know that you can collect 100 percent disability and still be truck driver at Abilene or anywhere.

    JohnBoy and jarhead0311 Thank this.

45,000 lbs of solar panels delivered to a muddy field with a rock driveway. Too heavy for the surface. Got stuck, had to be pulled out by a heavy-duty forklift. Tore off a mudflap in the process when it got under the drives. Haven't had an adventure like this in quite some time. Good thing I'm close to the yard.

Off roading with a class 8 highway vehicle. Outstanding. Give to a flatbed company next time.

Construction sites are a pain. I had my share when working local for Overnite. Other than construction sites, I hated residential deliveries more. You can quickly get into trouble if you are not very careful.

Man don't I agree. Reminds me of my days at Conway Freight. Those residential ones were always the worse especially when they demanded that you bring the delivery inside

“Oh yea we get trucks all the time.” Residentials, construction sites, and trying to deliver to a school were my top 3 worst when I was LTL’ing.
