She didn’t come from a rescue, but when I saw the conditions of where she was born it may have turned into a rescue. And she killed batman last night.

I’d have dogs but I’m highly allergic… cats too… also Horses, donkeys, sheep, goats…. lol. Oh well… glad I was a city kid but my mom grew up on a farm. I’m good for about 5 minutes before it’s downhill quick!
Glad to see so many rescue dogs in here… but we all know they are called rescue dogs cause they rescue us.. not the other way!! Lol

This mutt right here is the last of ours. He was our sons (and girlfriend at the time) dog. When son moved home, dog came with. When son moved out, dog stayed. He is 11 years old now & we’ve had him for 99% of his life. He’s eaten aluminum foil, a 1/2 cup of coconut oil at one time, chocolate, etc. and almost died from each of those, and many, many other crazy escapades over the years. Whatever he can find, he will try to eat. We even have to put our trash can on the counter or he will get in it. I’ve been told that daschunds are either very smart or very stupid. He’s of the latter variety. Always underfoot and been stepped on so many times, I have lost count. He is an aggravating, dumb, little shyte, but he’s ours and I guess we love him or we wouldn’t put up with his antics. I will say, that there is now a rule in our house-NO MORE ANIMALS WHEN THIS ONE IS GONE. I have had many fur babies in my 56 years on this earth. I cannot think of a time where we didn’t have 1 or 5 at a time, but this one has taken the cake. So, after he’s gone, that’s it for us. When my kid and family get a dog, it’ll be nice to visit and then come home to a pet free house. Call me mean if you want. Don’t care.

We have a part time cat. Whenever we go to our cabin the "camp cat" shows up either the first or second night. We feed him and he stays around if we have a fire going. I'm sure we are on his food trail. I'm glad to have him around. The rodent population has gone down since his arrival.

@JohnBoy i wasn’t in the best of places mentally when I met Bella.
I had thought about getting a pup for a bit. I walked into the rescue, she came and put her paws on my legs. I got my wallet out right then. Lol.

She’s a little diva, but I wouldn’t change a thing with her. She’s seen all lower 48 states, a couple of Canadian provinces as well.

Truck in the shop for a PM. I've been out for over a month. Need to do laundry. Taking a day off. Sounds like I ain't missing anything.
