That Pikeville run was a nice change of scenery, pain though with a heavy load. Nice that it was 4 lanes all the way there except where my garmin routed me through Abingdon, thankfully no cars in my way making those tight turns. Next time Im going down to exit 14 instead of 17, always fun when you see a sign that says through trucks over 6 wheels prohibited, lol! Bounced back to gatorade with my empty for another gatorade to drop in byhalia then to the yard for a Reno. Staying out since thanksgiving is the bigger holiday for me so ya’ll with kids and wives can enjoy Christmas together.

Well, it’s official. Now I will make the announcement here. I sent in my resignation to Abilene this morning before leaving the house to run down to Miami for my delivery. Got home at 11:30, made a cup of coffee and sat down with my wife to enjoy some quiet time. 15 minutes later my phone rings with an 804 area code. I knew it was Abilene. Sure enough, it was someone from safety wanting to know why, after almost 11 years, I am leaving. I’m not going to get into the whole reasoning why. That will come out when I write my end of employment reasons here. My last day will be Friday December 29th when I drop the truck off in Richmond. I will be leaving Richmond Saturday the 30th for Humboldt Tn to start orientation at the new job on the 2nd.

Yeah, it seems that the muckity mucks in management never think there's a problem, even when you describe the same ones over and over, in meetings, face to face, etc.Good luck with the new gig, JB!

Too many companies anymore don’t value great drivers anymore..they want to complain about all the issues they have but yet when you top notch quality drivers, instead of taking good care of them they would rather screw them over and let them leave snd then question why…too drivers are not going to put with the nonsense..its cheaper to take care of top drivers than it is to have a revolving door..but mgt is stuck on stupid and dont care..it’s their loss when top drivers leave not the drivers.

He said it was a job for a lifetime so must be pretty good. He’ll tell us soon enough.
