And the sad thing is the foreign driver issue is only going to get worse. I will give credit where credit is due, the other day I saw a Somali driver actually use his turn signal, and move over for a truck on the shoulder.

I liked the food at that little cafe behind the store. Nornally had a good breakfast omelet there if I remember correctly.

Got sent to Forney, Tx to get loaded with rolls of paper/cardboard. Accidentally passed the shipper cuz the sign and arrows confused me a bit. Short hop to Harrisburg, AR to unload. Must be trying to get a Reno on me. They’ve tried last couple weeks but they get taken quick.

At the receiver in Flat Rock, developed a coolant leak along the way,had to pull over every hour to fill it.
Geading to the ta in Candler after,to see if they can fix it,than it's off to Atlanta, for a d&h delivering close to the yard.

Delivered my Reno load a day early, as planned. Seems like maybe someone in the office is reading this thread, because yesterday morning I got a Qualcomm message saying "Please deliver load Wednesday morning."

Now, these Volvo loads are drops. I've done them a few dozen times, to locations all over the country. And they have never been time-critical. They have always been "drop ASAP". I called my DM to confirm, and he assured me that was his understanding as well. As far as he knew, there was absolutely no reason why I needed to sit on the delivery until tomorrow. He said he'd check, and if he got back some kind of answer explaining why I absolutely shouldn't deliver before Wednesday, he'd let me know.

Never heard back from him. So the trailer was dropped today.

I asked, as I always do (just in case things have changed), and the receiving clerk said, as they always do, that they're not sitting around waiting for us to show up with these loads. They're not time critical. As long as they're "day of", the warehouse is happy.

Just makes me wonder why HQ wants me to think these loads have locked-in appointment times.

I have not heard from my DM or the west coast load planner, so I presume I'll be taking a 34 here since I only have 6 hours and change left on my 70. But they could surprise me with a recap load.
