Should get two hours detention pay being was stuck at pepsi for four hours. Get to exit 271 on my way back to the yard and traffic was backed up due to the 55 bridge being closed. Took 3 hrs to get to the yard from there…..headed to Reno next.

Don’t forget to tell the Planners that half the fleet will be at one location on Monday morning. I’m sure they will want to get a jump start over the weekend on planning loads to get you out of there before noon rolls around… ;-)

    Enjoy your hometime.

Can't drive (legally, anyways) without a fresh IFTA sticker, which is only available from the body shop, which is closed on the weekends and locked up tighter than a drum.

I asked Safety about maybe they could run down there and grab me a sticker before the body shop dude left for the day on Friday (he normally ducks out around 3:00pm most days, but cuts out even earlier on Fridays). There was a "Well, ummm, I don't know if..." on the other end of the phone, so I took that as an indication that I'd be waiting until Monday to get this resolved.

So I am home until Monday when the body shop opens up and I can get a new IFTA sticker.

Well darn, thought I was done with the white stuff til next winter. Ran into a snow storm roughly 40 miles from Moriarty until Albuquerque then cleared up until I got to the west side of the state then winter stuff again til Arizona. Parked at the one nine next to the Walmart in Winslow. Should make it to Tonopah tomorrow, running recaps cuz they want this in Reno Tuesday morning so a 34 after then back east for hometime next week for my yearly VA check up. I Checked the weather everywhere before I started this morning where it does snow normally and it snows in the place I don’t look at, lol!

I feel your pain buddy. I’m headed for Tucson tomorrow out of Kansas City and I was tickled I didn’t hafta deal with the mountains in Colorado going to Climax for once and almost tumbling to my death off an icy cliff. I punched in the route and it said “this route is affected by a winter storm warning”. You gotta be kidding me! :banghead:

Picked up a loaded trailer with an expired inspection sticker today in Front Royal. Due at Sysco Cleveland tomorrow morning. Just finished up a trailer inspection in Breezewood. Snow starting to fall. Hopefully nothing but a light flurry. We'll see.

Sitting here in the dock at Sysco Cleveland. Appointment was at 8:00. I bumped the dock at 7:30. And in 20 minutes the detention clock starts. They lowered the dock plate an hour ago, but haven't done anything else since.

I always remember this place because it's the only place I ever had a lumper come out and ask me directly for a tip (which I did not provide). Maybe that's why they're taking their time. (Mind you, that was like 5 years ago, and I've been here a dozen other times since.)

After that I've got a BH load, picking up in Groveport today and delivering tomorrow in Nashville in the small hours of the morning.
