Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

Got back in the truck yesterday. Trip to Sysco Front Royal to pick up a load going to Sysco Cleveland. Delivered that this morning, got a load to pick up washing machines from Clyde, OH, delivering to the Lowe's DC in Richmond tomorrow.

 

Been there done,hopefully freights good in Richmond.

 

Dropped my empty in New Castle after Fenton and got the Colorado run outta there which I delivered a day early this morning. Nothing til tomorrow so they are giving me a day layover then get loaded tomorrow afternoon in UT which will split somewhere and another driver will take it the rest of the way.

 

Oh hey, looks like our 2nd biggest customer has run into some trouble:

Bugs, mold and mildew found in Boar's Head plant linked to deadly listeria outbreak

That's the Jarratt plant that's an hour south of the Richmond yard.

 

If the typical consumer saw how those plants looked and operated, they’d quit buying Boars Head products.

 

I would say that goes for quite a few of the food plants around the country if people actually saw the conditions most of these facilities were in people would starve

 

Just the price of Boars Head products alone is enough to not buy it.

 

You can say that again. Take the poultry plants that I used to deliver to when I was doing local work for Overnite, they would make a person "puke".

 

Not just boars head, they would quit eating everything

 

The plants, the trailers hauling the food, the warehouses it’s stored in. The people working and how nasty they are. All of it.
