You’ve said nothing I don’t already know and I don’t know why you felt I needed an explanation of how it all works. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt a thousand times over a 13 year period, at Abilene and elsewhere. Now, I get paid hourly, and paid well, I might add, to sit on docks with refrigerated freight. I will sit there all day if they want. Don’t care. I do my M-F and go home. The pain of the long, slow wait and/or the BS from dispatch/shippers/receivers is bearable. And I don’t have to give any time to the machine.

I will interject my thought on this response, one that I totally agree with, and this is a shot at the company, Abilene. I worked there for 3 months shy of 11 years. I left for 2 reasons. One, the long haul part went to the dogs. It turned into a typical mega carrier mentality with 300-500 mile loads that took 2 days to do. The second one had to do with the corporate mind set of cutting costs and saving money, at the drivers expense. I lost out on $1000 of bonus money because of cost cutting. Then when I left, they decided to not match the company part of my 401K, another $3000. Then number 1,2 and 3 get poop canned for financial discrepancies. All the while, having smoke blown up ones arse about how respected and need we are. BS. I gave those crooks over 10 years of accident and ticket free service along with 1.3 million safe miles and they didn’t have the courtesy to tell me directly why they did what they did. But, they blow smoke every chance they get and tell you how much they care about the driver. So, all in all, 10 months later, I want to say thank you to Abilene and the top 3 ex upper management people who got fired for showing me their true colors and opening another door. The money they screwed me out of? Made that back 10 fold at my new gig.

One comment I will add, if you think no one from management reads these posts, think again. I had a close friend of the number one that was terminated call me a few weeks ago pretending to be something he wasn’t and threatened me in regards to a post about the boinking. When I realized who he was, what he was trying to do, I put my best, “I could give a p.h.u.c.k less who you are” response to work. Bottom line, I told him I hope to god I see him one day.

I knew Alan J. was fraud and crook early on, screwing owner operator out fuel surcharge money. An owner operator should get 100% of a fuel surcharge, he didn’t agree, lord only knows where else he was skimming money.

Very highly doubt it, they are lucky they didn’t get prosecuted for theft of funds.

From what I have heard, Alan, Kimberley and Joe were escorted off the property. The stories and rumors that are out there are fantastic. I just hope half of them are true.

I didn't write that post because I felt you needed an explanation of how it all works.

I wrote that post to be social with you guys, talking about a situation that I'm very familiar with as an OTR driver, as are the rest of you. Kind of like we are all (virtually) sitting around the table, shooting the ####.

I apologize if my post may have come off the wrong way. That was certainly not my intention.
