All the reefers on the yard are red-tagged, with the tag reading "Sold". Asked my DM about it, and
he confirmed that Boar's Head is no longer our customer.

 

I get to go to the tobacco place in Wheeling. The one where you have to navigate streets that were paved in the 1940s in order to back up off the street into an enclosed dock. I am powerful excited.

 

Been a good week. Dropped that Lithia Springs off Monday then got bobtailed to Sam’s Club store in Valdosta to hook an empty Walmart trailer and run it to a DC in Jacksonville, Knight account. Went to Volvo and grabbed an empty then sent up to Augusta to grab a KC load from the offsite warehouse to Chester, Pa then reloaded in Delaware to Ashland and then this cigarette load to Sidney for today. Out of hours after so a 34 next. Got pulled in for a level one in Delaware on Route 301 which I passed and got a sticker on my windshield and the free truck wash. They pulled every truck behind me too for inspection, must have needed to meet there quota. I suspected BH was gone, I was told by my former TM that we weren’t really making much money off them anyway.

 

Darn, hit a bump and my leveling valve on the left steer axle broke. Headed to the Knight yard in Columbus when empty.

 

I bet y’all are all brokenhearted about losing Boarshead….
