Hope everybody had a good Thanksgiving. Came out the house this morning and rehooked my gatorade load and dropped in Indy early this afternoon then sent up to the AAA Cooper yard down the road from Elkhart, IN to run a couple local runs to empty paper rolls then to MI for a Volvo load due Friday morning. Normally don’t go shopping on black friday but went out in the afternoon and got some deals on tools at Lowe’s. Splurged and ordered a connex 3400 hp with peak job and a good whip antenna, need to run a ground cable it seems from the bracket to a bolt on the frame. Got some heavy carhartt pants, hoodies and a hi-vis coat as well. Can’t wait for winter to be over….

 

Was supposed to come back out Monday, but they waited until then to put my truck in the body shop for the bumper replacement. Told 'em I was just gonna take a week's vacation instead of flying a loaner.

 

Lexington,ky at a new Publix,stampede should be coming in soon.Been hit and miss lately,gonna see how it goes after the holiday,if it doesn't pu steady,might step away.

Yep. He’s a short timer but he deserves it.

 

Came back out from the house Tuesday and got 2400 miles in amazingly. Took a 34 since I got a case of the runs and come off 34 today and ran a short load from the swift yard in columbus to the Sam’s DC in Greenfield, IN. Gatorade from Indy to Byhalia next. Ive been getting what I need so can’t complain, got my extra income from the VA too which helps especially since it is non-taxable. Don’t know how much longer my back can take though of the bouncing constantly on these roads. Thinking oil and gas fracking might pick up again next year and maybe can land an engineer job with my degrees. Already had two back surgeries and don’t want anymore along with more titanium hardware, winter always makes it worse with the cold. Now that it is only me I got to take care of I don’t gotta worry much if I decide to get something less jarring on my spine.
