That would be a sucker bet. Those are usually inside 9 out of 10 times. Hopefully cameras got them.

Thankfully all the heavy snow stayed south, 80/90 clear so far. Emptied in Wisconsin then got sent to Chicago to reload going to Mechanicsburg Pa for Wed. morning. Of course I had to make a wrong turn after loaded to get back to the interstate as usually happens with me in Chicagoland. Thankfully it worked out and took me straight to 55 which I took that to 90.

Gatorade load to Pikeville, KY has run into a snag: The warehouse closed early today due to the weather. Place is locked up tighter than a drum. They like us to drop the trailers on their lot, or in a door. Lot is "locked" (someone damaged their gate, so they've just parked a day cab with a 48' trailer across it to prevent entry), and all the docks are full.

    Hopefully they'll be in tomorrow.

Woke up this morning in front of the Pepsi warehouse, which was open. Had a harrowing few minutes trying to get the truck out of the snow where I'd parked it. Thought I was going to have to call a tow truck, but fortunately I was able to rock it back and forth until it had enough momentum to clear the ice. Another driver was not so lucky: Tow truck was winching a Western Express truck out of the snow right in front of the dock where I needed to drop my trailer.

Eventually got the trailer in the dock, hooked an empty, and went to the Pop-Tart plant in Kimper. Was supposed to pick up a pre-loaded trailer and haul it to Breinigsville, PA. Upon arrival, discovered that the load was not ready and had been pushed back a minimum of 24 hours.

Dropped my empty, made a few phone calls, explained the situation, and was given an assignment to bobtail out and head to the Gatorade plant in Wytheville. Was supposed to pick up a pre-loaded trailer and haul it to Frederick, MD. Upon arrival, discovered that the load was not ready and there was no ETA because the Gatorade plant was out of Abilene empties to pre-load.

Bobtailed over to the Wytheville yard to see if any empties were available. No dice.

Called HQ, explained the situation, and told 'em I was parking for the night. Will worry about it in the morning.

On the upside, I did score some free Pop-Tarts from the Pop-Tart plant. They make all kinds of flavors there, including experimental flavors. So I have a box of "Chocolate Chip Pancake" flavored Pop-Tarts.

Got unloaded in Mechanicsburg early this morning but reload wasn’t until 1400 in hazle twp. Had to drop my dryvan at pepsi in carlisle then grab a reefer. Went up to the beacon and got it eashed out snd a truck wash too cuz my truck was so salty paper towels just wasn’t cutting it on the side glass and mirrors. Set on minus 10 then got to lineage around 1330 but couldn’t give me a dock due to some issues they were having so parked in the staging and got a door at 1430 thankfully and out the place by 1600. 14 caught up to me so parked at the J in carlisle. Can drop in SC anytime tomorrow through Friday. 30 miles from piedmont yard.
