I have good days and bad days. My bad days - nothing goes right backing, and I must look retarded to anyone watching. I always wondered why I usually did crappy backing. Then I realized that I don't have depth perception. I try to cut drivers slack. Ppl have issues we don't know about, and probably wouldn't understand.

 

My depth perception is also wonky. It’s especially difficult at night for me to even tell how far a vehicle is in front of me while driving. Maybe due to astigmatism? Who knows. It seems that I do a worse job of backing when there’s nothing around, though.

 

There have been times when I just couldn't get the angle right, and would look around at the other drivers muttering "I swear I know how to drive a truck" under my breath.

Got the chocolate dipping sauce run from humboldt to columbus. Parked at the Loves in circleville being the load isn’t due til Monday and I need a 34 anyway. Needed to hit up Walmart too for some groceries and a new skull shaver and trimmer. My el cheapo one had issues, get what you pay for though. Got a good one this time. I find the skull shaver better than clippers though you definitely feel the cold more on a shaved bare head, lol!

 

I know drivers have good and bad days as do I. I only wonder about the foreigners that seem to have been given a cdl without passing tests. I apologize if anybody got offended. Blind side backing Im thankful for the fender mirrors, I use the right one heavily for that but one does need good depth perception though. I do try to help folks when I can but a lot of the time I get the finger or cussed at. When I started in 2004 we all tended to help each other out, Id rather help than film and watch someone smash stuff.

 

Up in the mountains of Pa,was supposed to grab a loaded trailer out of Inwood,WV going to close to Richmond, but they have empty restrictions for today.
