Of course pepsi had me there for 4 hrs being they only use two docks to load/unload trucks and 4 trucks ahead of me. 1300 appt. and finally in dock at 1600 out 1700. Got to Danville at 2000 and get going after hooked to my load then my airbag under my seat popped a hole in it somehow. That was a rough 2.5 hour drive to the wytheville yard for the night. Might not have been so bad if I didn’t have like a half dozen titanium rods in my lower back….debating on calling breakdown or trying to patch the hole til I get to our shop or a knight shop that we use.

Not only that, but the owner of a house better be a DIY(Do it Yourself) because there is always something to do in and around a house.

Yep, nothing is more fun than making 10 trips to the hardware store to fix one simple thing.

    I’ve been driving 11 years and it’s drastically different from when I started… so I can only imagine 20 or 25 years….

I’m one of those “driving school grads”. 14 years ago I left the dealership parts world to begin my trucking career at age 40. Wish I would’ve done it sooner.

After dropping in Joliet Sat. I got sent to West Rock in Battle Creek, MI but when I arrived they were 16 hrs behind so I spent the night there and come 0700 Rob called and said the load was two days behind so got a couple choices and picked the Byhalia load from Saline, MI. Which I’ll drop tomorrow on the Swift yard then picked a Jacksonville Volvo unless something happens there. I figured Ill get my seat fixed eventually, stuffed a small blanket under my two silicone cushions for extra shock absorbent from sitting on the floor….back has been stiff though being Im fused from the second vertebrae down with the titanium rods and screws. TWIC and hazmat approved now, waiting on my card and pin to arrive now and schedule hazmat testing.

Back in the truck after 2 weeks off. As predicted, I was not able to get them to pay me the extra week of vacation I think they owe me, but I took an extra week off anyways.

First trip out is a Hill-Phoenix delivery to Rhode Island. I can count on one hand the number of times I've been to or through Rhode Island in this truck, and I'd have fingers left over. Mainly because there's not a whole lot of Rhode Island to go to.
